Day 22
A walk with a friend from chinatown to glebe in search of the waterfront. Talking about all sorts of things including myths and st elmo’s fire. Ended up taking the tram back to the city.

Twas a hot and sunny day, spent checking out inspiring exhibitions at the ACP and walking through Lachlan Swamp in Centennial Park. Exhausted from walking we ended up at Chat Thai to recharge with a chilli bamboo salad and green curry. Am a little bit sunburnt. The day’s conversation ranged from rotund nurses to economics to unsustainable sea trawling and then onto trees.

Had laksa with a friend and the conversation touched on the economic downturn which left me feeling a bit gloomy afterwards. There’s talk of cutbacks of 10 -20%, people getting laid off, a recession or a depression and the precarious situation of riding on china’s back. It’s going to be a tough couple of years ahead as the world tries to pull it self out of the mess its made....

So halfway now. Have a bit of a head cold so am all drugged up on cordral and panadol. *sniff*
Introducing the new love of my life… the lumix lx3. It’s all pretty sad actually. So away with my dinosaur Canon 5mp G5… 10mp here we come. Amazing how motivated one can be when you get a new camera. Seems to do very well at low light without a tripod. Love it!
